Frequently Asked Questions
Are these Temp Sensors calibrated to NIST standards?
Yes – our Temp sensors are tested against a NIST compliant device, and a hardcopy and digital testing certificate is provided with each device.
How do you calibrate these devices? Do you provide recalibration services?
We calibrate all our devices against a NIST traceable device to accuracy of ±0.3ºC.
We provide pre-calibrated replacement probes every year. All you need to do is swap the new probes out for your old ones, ship us back the old probes, and the digital testing certificate will update on our platform. It’s like how Netflix worked back when they had DVDs!
What are the temperature ranges that can be monitored?
Our standard Temp monitors have an Operating Range of -55 °C ~ 125 °C. For even lower temperatures, we offer an enhanced version that, Hex-ULT, that can support temperatures down to -196 °C.
What happens if devices detect temperatures that are out of range?
If temperature ranges are outside of established thresholds, our Temp Monitors will alert staff through email, text message, and phone call. We will also track the duration and maximum temperature of this excursion, and require users to note the corrective action taken to bring temperatures back into rage. We use all this information to create a digital excursion report on our online platform that satisfies all compliance reporting requirements.
Can I configure custom alarms if temperature is out of range?
Yes and our system helps you get rid of nuisance alarms once and for all. We support text, email, and phone calls so that the right people can get notified at the right time, as well as custom escalations according to your needs.
